Age Policies
- Children under 14 are not allowed in the fitness area.
- Children 12 and above may use The W without an adult present.
- Children 8 to 11 are allowed to be in a different area of the building without direct supervision. (i.e. parent is in the fitness area and child is playing racquetball).
- Child care room is available for children between 6 months and 7 years old. You must be a member of The W to use the child care room.
Child Care Policies
- All workers must be certified
for adult/child/infant CPR AED, First Aid, and blood borne
pathogens.
- Eligible children: age 6
months to 7 years.
- Children may stay in child
care for up to 75 minutes while a parent or guardian is at the
center.
Child Supervision Policy
An adult (over 18) is limited to 2 paying guests (or members) who are under 12 years old.
Children ages 12 - 17 may bring 1 paying guest (or member) who is under 12 years old. They must accompany their guest at all times and understand that they are responsible for their guest’s actions.
Any groups of 10 or more must register as a party. For information regarding small group parties contact 319-352-8716 and for large group rental information contact 319-352-8249.
All Participants Must Pay
All participants who pass the Welcome Desk must pay the guest fee of $5 for children and $10 for adults. This includes adults who only plan on watching the children. Spectators count toward our capacity in those areas. If they do not wish to pay, they may watch from free in the Zesty Orange and/or Hall of Champions.
Racquetball Court Reservation Policies
- Reservations can be made only one day in advance. NO STANDING RESERVATIONS.
- Racquetball reservations can be made in person at the Welcome Desk or by calling 352-8311.
- One reservation per day per participant (reservations for 1 hour only).
- When making a reservation, you must give the name of both people who are playing. (i.e., Smith/Jones)
- Reservations can be made on the hour for an hour (i.e. 3-4 p.m., etc.)
- Participants have 10 minutes to claim their reserved court, after which it becomes first-come, first-served.
- Courts, which are not reserved, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Courts must be vacated at the end of your reservation if others are waiting. You are not allowed to finish the game you are playing.
Protective eyewear is strongly recommended when you are playing racquetball.
