Through a unique college-community partnership, the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center administers year-round community recreation programs for the City of Waverly. Waverly residents of all ages can take advantage of these courses, regardless of whether they are members of The W. Sign up for these activities at The W.

During the June 2008 flood, The W was designated as the Red Cross Shelter and also provided free showers for all those affected by the flooding.

The W shares health and fitness tips during an 8:30 a.m. Wednesday radio program on KWAY-FM.
