The W Swim Club 2018
The W Swim Club’s purpose is to provide a high-quality fall/winter/spring swimming program. The W Swim Club is for the competitive swimmer and for the child who is just beginning to be a part of a swim team. Questions: please email Heather Zajicek at heather.zajicek@wartburg.edu

Requirements: Participants must be at least 6 years old at the start of the session, have completed Level 2 of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, and be able to swim one lap (2 lengths) of The W pool without stopping, using the front crawl.

Session 1: Oct. 29-Dec. 8
Swim Meet: Saturday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m.
How to register: Attend the informational meeting (for parent and participant)
Monday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. Session details will be outlined at this meeting.


Session 2: Jan. 21-Feb. 23
Swim Meet: Saturday, Feb. 23, 9 a.m.
How to register: Attend the informational meeting (for parent and participant)
Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. Session details will be outlined at this meeting.

Session 3: March 11-April 13
Swim Meet: Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m.
How to register: Attend the informational meeting (for parent and participant)
Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. Session details will be outlined at this meeting.

 

Fees Per Session: Must attend informational meeting to register

1 child in family: $50 (member), $63 (guest)

2 children in family: $45 per child (member), $58 per child (guest)

3+ children in family: $40 per child (member), $53 per child (guest)

 Location: The W Wet Classroom

Practice schedule : Monday/Wednesday (3:45pm Beginners, 4:45pm Intermediate, 5:45pm Advanced) & Saturdays 9 or 11 am, times determined at the informational meeting.

 *Practices will not be held if W-SR cancels school or dismisses early due to inclimate weather.

 

 

Sign up for our swim meet Date TBD
The W is hosting a free community swim meet Saturday, Date TBD. Warm-ups will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the meet starting at 8. (There will be no lap swim this day.) All events—including individual and relays in men's, women's and co-ed categories—are open to the community. If you are interested in swimming a relay race, you must form your own team. Participants must be 13 or older and have previous swim team experience.
