Small Group Personal Training

Grab a friend (or sign up alone) for our NEW small group wellness training that can teach you all about leading a healthy lifestyle. During the 12 sessions, Stacey Runde, a health coach with specialty certification in fitness nutrition, will lead cooking demonstrations, help you plan and shop for healthy meals, explore fad diets, and calculate your personal food needs. But, what good is healthy eating if you aren't treating the rest of your body with care? Stacey also can help you develop a sustainable workout schedule and better manage your stress. This course includes before and after weigh-ins and body composition testing and measurements.

Pain Management Sessions

In this unique service at The W, clients will go through a biomechanical assessment to find postural deviations in the body that may be contributing to pain. Once your unique muscular imbalances are identified, you will go through a course of 6 sessions to learn and implement corrective exercises to assist in rebalancing the body. All sessions are completed with our Biomechanical Corrective Exercise Specialist, Catherine Robb.  Cost is $60.00 for members and $80.00 for non-members.  If you would like to enroll please contact Catherine Robb at Catherine.robb@wartburg.edu or 319-352-8576 or stop at the Welcome desk.


Yoga Training

Let our certified yoga instructor/personal trainer take you through your own journey. If you are looking for specific flexibility and core work or are recovering from injury, we can help.

Clean and Lean Program (NEW)

This convenient, six-week program provides customized help with weekly workouts and clean, healthy nutritional coaching you can work into your busy schedule, all from an ACE-certified fitness nutrition specialist, health coach, personal trainer, nutritionist in weight management, biomechanics method corrective exercise specialist, and myoskeletal alignment specialist. Each six-week session is $150 for members and $200 for guests.

Health coaching-NEW

Just like a personal trainer at the gym helps you reach your physical goals, The W’s new health coach will work with you to provide guidance, give feedback, and hold you accountable as you work to reach your health goals.

Leslie Lyons, The W’s health coach, will work with clients to create a balanced road map to health. Combining fitness, nutrition, and other aspects of healthy living, including sleep, work, and interpersonal relationships. Leslie can work with you one-on-one to explore concerns specific to you and your body and the tools needed for a lifetime of balance. But, because the journey is sometimes better when shared, a small group session also is available.
